Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Commencing your journey at Londorossi Gate, you step into the heart of Mount Kilimanjaro's wonders. The first leg takes you through lush rainforests where towering trees, draped in moss and vibrant vegetation, create an enchanting atmosphere. Your initial camp, Mti Mkubwa, offers a serene introduction to the mountain's diverse ecosystems at an elevation of 2,820 meters (9,252 feet).
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Leaving the rainforest behind, you enter the heath and moorland zones, unveiling sweeping views of the landscape. Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
